Bard MBA Ranked #4 in the World,   Adding to Top Rankings

The MBA in Sustainability at Bard College has been ranked fourth in the world by Corporate Knights Better World MBA evaluation. Bard came out ahead in the annual survey of 209 business schools across the world – 50 more than last year.

Bard MBA Director Dr. Eban Goodstein was pleased but not surprised to be included among the top schools.  "At Bard, a focus on sustainability and mission is baked in, not bolted on", said Goodstein. "We are one of the few MBA's worldwide to fully integrate a focus on how businesses can succeed through strategies that promote shared well being on a healthy planet."

In recent years, Bard's MBA has achieved widespread recognition. The program was ranked the #1 Green MBA in the US by Princeton Review in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and #2 among all US MBA's for non-profit management in 2023.  Based in NYC, the program has a hybrid structure designed for working professionals. Classes meet in-person one weekend a month in Brooklyn, and then on-line on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The MBA enrolls around 40 incoming students each year.

Corporate Knights's ranking focused on a key metric: what proportion of the core (mandatory) curriculum addresses concepts of sustainable development.  This was the first year that Bard was included in the schools that the Knights evaluated.
